1981 Thomas Knatt La Gitana
Concert Classical Guitar.
This is a high level concert classical guitar. It was hand-built by Thomas Knatt in his Concord, Massachusetts workshop. The overall condition of this guitar is excellent. Thomas Knatt is a legendary guitar maker and was mentor and teacher to more than 75 now successful luthiers. His guitars are the equal in quality and performance of the finest guitars made anywhere in the world.
This hand crafted guitar was built using solid CSA Rosewood for the back and sides, a Mahogany neck and a solid Cedar top. The binding and head stock cap are made using rosewood. The guitar has a beautiful Thomas Knatt signature rosette.
This guitar has been refurbished using lacquers. There were no cracks in the top, sides or back of this guitar.
Scale length on this guitar is 662 millimeters. Nut width is 52 millimeters. The ebony fretboard and frets are in very good condition. This guitar has just been refretted. Action on the 12th fret low E string is 3 millimeters and the 12th fret high E string measures 3 millimeters.
This guitar is equipped with its original silver fish scale Landstorfer tuning keys. They are smooth and hold tune well.
The signed and stamped original label is in excellent condition. It is designated as a model P-30.
The guitar will be carefully packed and shipped in a good condition hard shell case.
