The mantra of Chenrezig, the Buddha of Compassion, is hand etched countless times on both the interior & exterior of the bowl.  The inside bottom has a Tibetan OM symbol & on the bottom is the familiar symbol of Buddha's compassionate eyes from the Boudanath Stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal

this bowl is made by hand in Nepal by the finest & most experience craftsmen.  It is made of the traditional seven metals, i.e. gold, silver, copper, iron, tin, lead, and zinc, with each metal having a specific purpose & each one representing a planet
