Got Cool Cufflinks ?! Extremely Rare Japanese Deco Retro 14K Gold Chinese Luck Longevity Square Cufflinks !Marked ASAHI (for Asahi Shoten), and K14 (8th image) for being composed of 14K Japanese gold. Approximate combined weight 8.4 grams, with each being approximately 4.2 grams. Each square bamboo side is approximately 2 cm (12/16 of an inch) in length. The writing characters are Kanji which originates in China, Han Chinese, in the first image, the closest Kanji character is jōyō which translates to longevity thus health, and the second cufflink Kanji character Fu which translates to happiness, fortune and good luck. Asahi Shoten is a high quality Japanese jewelry store which is still in business, originally from Yokohama, but now located at the Imperial Hotel Arcadian in Tokyo. These cufflinks were So popular in its day that countless copies and fakes were created with false claims of being older, one can find these copies all over the internet, simply type Chinese cufflinks, but here I present you the authentic originals hand crafted by Asahi Shoten during their prime ! In China bamboo also symbolizes virtue and Luck, six stalks represent luck and wealth, now how cool is that ?! Three stalks represent Fu (happiness), Ku (wealth), and soh (long life) ! I have another smaller pair in circular shape if you prefer circles ! These extremely rare authentic original cufflinks which combine both great Japanese and Chinese cultures so if you are like me fascinated by them and would like to attract the best of both then grab them while you can for I have not yet seen another !
