A great patina is not voodoo or magic, it is the product of knowledge and skill..period. In my workshops, I've taught many glass artists and craftspeople the techniques of fine patina and now I'd like to share them with you. In this program I will explain the preparatory and application techniques you will need to better understand the patination process and improve your metal finishes, whether they are the simple copper and black finishes most commonly applied to glass projects, or more complex patina finishes that will give your work increased depth and beauty. You will be given special instruction on how to achieve the very desirable Tiffany brown-green patina, complete with plating instructions and chemical recipes. I will show you how to get great finishes with the most basic patina solutions and finally how to protect your patina once it's applied. Once you've mastered the techniques of this program, you will have the necessary skills to discover the secrets of fine patina.
