VINTAGE JAPANESE DECORATIVE ASIAN / TANSU BRASS HARDWARE ORNATE BUTTERFLY HINGE

Description

​A decorative solid brass hinge for the front of a small door on a tansu or butsudan.
This is set so the door would open out or in the case of a chest  would open up.

On a tansu this would be the hinge to ope a small door (Usually at the bottom) with other drawers behind it. For any large doors two of these would be necessary. Large double doors would need all four we have available.
It's 8 inches wide and 6 inches tall.( 20.5 X 15 cm)
It's solid brass.  We have four.
We don't know its age. We've cleaned the dirt off but left the aged patina.
